Tarina Tarantino Brush Set Review

OK.... I did it again. I splurged. BUT it was well worth it in my opinion!!!! Hear me out! I use my Mac brushes and LOVE them. #224 is beyond my favorite brush, I have two in fact. I bought this Tarina Tarantino brush set BECAUSE of the Mac 224 look alike. I know... excessive BUT I needed it! Plus it is PINK and a gorgeous BRIGHT pink at that! SO I will review each brush with the number and name that goes with it.

- #12 Powder Brush - This is a very nice brush. It is great to add a powder such Mac's MSFN to give a LIGHT dusting over your foundation. It's not very dense but I really do like it. The denser and tighter the bristles, the more product you will use. Nothing too special, just a regular old powder brush.

- #43 Pigment Eyeshadow Brush - I really enjoyed this brush. If you are expecting this to look like a Mac 139 you will be surprised at how UNLIKE it is! It's a lot bigger and less packed but as the name suggests, It is a brilliant pigment brush for packing color on the lid. This brush was another reason I bought this set because my Mac 139 (rest it's little brush soul) bit the dust, or should I say "bit the pigment." tehehe. Needless to say it died and I needed a replacement. Love this brush!

- #74 Smudge Brush - This is also an AMAZING addition to my collection. It is, in my opinion of course, the perfect pencil brush. It tapers to an amazing point and allows more precision while smudging. I also use this brush for in depth crease work. LOVE LOVE LOVE this little guy! Great, if not, BETTER dupe to the Mac 219.

- #65 Liner Brush - I've actually never used a flat liner brush. This is an amazing liner brush and I believe everyone should have it in their collection. I created a perfect thin line with a perfect little wing to go on my perfect little eyes... Too much? Probably so;)

- #56 Crease Brush - The main event, the reason of my even purchasing this set was this brush. I will not prolong your excitement because MINE is just about to explode! Of course I LOVE it!!!!! It's thinner than a Mac 224 and is basically nothing like it at all! It's more along the lines of a Mac 226, which was discontinued and I do not own it. This is the brush I've been looking for my whole life. It helps me to create the most perfect cut crease! I LOVE IT! It's super easy to work with and super soft. Doesn't scratch my eyes or irritate them. It also tapers more to a point and I cannot say enough how pleased I am with the quality of it.

Here it is Next to a Mac 224 (which is still my holy grail brush) The two are a perfect pair! So you can definatly see the difference.
Another product I want to rave about are Brush Guards. They help to prolong the life span of your brushes while also keeping it's shape in tact. These are great to wash your brushes with and really is an amazing product. I will be keeping almost all of my brushes with a brush guard from now on. They are cheap and can be found at coastalscents.com. Below is a picture of my Mac brushes with the brush guards. As you can see they range in shapes and sizes. They fit any brush.

Face of the day! March 2, 2011

Please disreguard my retarded hand. It seems to make its way into some of my pics and it's completely uncontrollable.... apparently.
Cut crease using my new brushes. LOVE! The brushes are kind of expensive at $70 at Sephora, but if you are looking to upgrade and improve I strongly suggest these! Plus they come in a cute little jewelery box with a mirror and it's just beyond adorable!
So if you are wondering, YES Sister. BUY THESE BRUSHES.
