Chocolate Candy Cane - 122210

I decided to do this look to get into the holiday spirit. I don't know about you guys but Christmas has COME fast!!!!!! To me, the winter seasons remind me of Cranberry colors and white and shimmer and glitter! There's nothing more in this world that I love and despise more than glitter. ALAS, glitter always seems to creep into my winter and holiday looks because I'm obsessed. So, I really hope you enjoy this pepperminty cranberry brownish look:)

First: Start off by applying of course Mac's Painterly Paintpot and then followed that with NYX's Jumbo Eye Pencil in MILK. Be sure to blend the Milk out really well as it will be gross and crease and make you look like you're a 16 year old who just put lipgloss on your eyes.

Second: You have this beautiful opaque canvas of white that will make any white whiter and make your eyes POP! I mixed Mac's Crystal Avalanche and Mac's Gesso. Gesso is a matte white and Crystal Avalanche is a shimmery over the top white that I'm OBSESSED with for an inner corner highlight. By mixing the shimmer and the matte together it will give a crazy effect that when someone looks at you're eye they'll be like OMGWTFOMG?! Just kidding. You probably won't be able to tell a difference, but I've been into mixing shadows lately so go with it.;)

Third: I took Sugar Pill's Love+ and tapped it lightly onto the outer third of my lid and took Mac's 224 shading brush and blended it out and into the white. You want this look to be blended out. Otherwise you will look like a PROSTITUTION WHORE (said in my best Teresa Accent)
Fourth: Here comes the chocolate part! I mixed Mac's Brown Script and Mac's Cranberry and lightly feathered it into the crease.
Fifth: GLITTAHHHHH! As you may or may not know when glitter is applied to your eyes it will be annoying and somehow float around your body and end up on your butt if you do not apply it to something sticky! Glitter's amazing like that. I like to use LaSplash's glitter adhesive. It's cheap and works great! Take a small amount on your finger and dab it onto the inner third of your eyelid. (where you applied the whites earlier) (also if you do not have the adhesive you can always use lash glue it probably works better, just be sure you have the as it will dry clear. If you have the dark you will look retarded if you apply a big goop of it to your eye). I then took Mac's Glitter reflects in pearl and dabbed it onto my eye while the adhesive was still wet. You can skip the glitter part if you want and just stick with the white but that only means you're not cool or sparkly like ME:)

Sixth: I took my usual highlight and blended out the harsh edges. I used Mac's Vanilla. Be sure to take and swoop your highlight down a little it will clean up some edges if they're ugly. Picture below if you can't imagine what the hell I'm talking about lol.
Seventh: To make this look a bit more tamed and pretty I lightly mixed a Matte black from Make up Forever with Mac's Sketch and threw that into the crease to deepen up my look. Remember if you use Black shadows lightly and I do mean LIGHTLY you can always build the color up. It's not so easy to back track once you look like you've got a tar pit on your eye.
Eighth: I took that Love + and swiped it over my lower lash line. Don't put too much red below your eye because then you will look like you are dying! Unless you're going for that look, THEN by all means, GO AHEAD.

Face time!!!! I do my face after I do my eyes when I'm working with products that produce a lot of fallout.... such as.... GLITTER BITCHES!
I used my Skin Perfekt Gel as a primer. I find that this primer is awesome for my peeps with big ole pores like MOI!
Because I love full coverage I do apply 2 Foundations. Call me crazy. I don't care! I'M PRETTY! lolololol. I applied it with my long lost friend that I bought from Coastalscents.com. I believe it's called a Kabuki Paddle brush??? Not sure I've had it for 2 years. I believe it's a Crown brush though.
I THEN apply my concealer which is Mac's Select Moisture Cover in Nw15 which means I'm as light as they come. I then blended it into the skin with my Sephora Mineral powder brush. I do not like this brush for powder so that's stupid on Sephora's part but whaterrr.
After blending in the concealer I used the same Crown brush to apply my Make Up Forever foundation. WHICH, by the way, I'm LOVE love LOVING! Be sure to blend down your neck girl! Don't nobody wanna see a line that makes you look like you're wearing a mask. The point of make up is for it to be NATURAL! Duh!
Then to lock in my foundation and smooth everything out I Used my Mac MSFN. Love this product! Die~!
Now usually the rule of thumb is you never apply anything wet to a powder. It will cake and cause more harm that none. But Benefit's Highbeam dries to a powdery finish so don't worry about it. By the way they have this smaller and cheaper one for $10.00 at Sephora right now which is a great bargain! I don't see how I would really run out of this. Dot the product on your forehead, Upper cheeks, temples, center of nose, top of lips and chin. Anywhere a light naturally hits your face. Blend it into your skin and then I took Mac's Shimmertime Pigment and placed it on top of all the places I put Highbeam. This will make you look youthful and dewy and not greasy. Just like an angle. Just like me;) I used Mac's Azalea Blossom blush on my cheeks and then Contoured with Nars Laguna Bronzer. Contouring makes you look skinny, so girl, INVEST!
This is my number one without a doubt never do without will die happy with this on my face product. Make Up Forever HD Powder. YOU will die. It's so good. You're looking at it thinking there's no possible way I will put that on my face but women and men of color can also use this product IF you use it right. It doesn't take much but this mattifies your skin and smooths it. It will also make your make up stay ALL DAY! I apply it with my MAC 188.
Add Image On my lips I wore Revlon's Pink Sky and Mac's Lipglass in Culture Clash.
Now it's time to finish your eye. I used Urban Decay's 24/7 eyeliner in Zero. I used it on my waterline and I tightlined with it. After that I took Kat Von D's Trooper and lined my eyes.
Curl your lashes with Shu Uemura because in my opinion, no other eyelash curler exists. My new favorite Mascara is Revlon's Grow Luscious Fabulash. I don't know, or havent noticed, if my lashes have grown but I do believe there are natural ingrediants to enrich your lashes and make them healthier. I will let you know if I wake up and my lashes are touching my eyebrows.

My sister got into town Last night! Her Birthday is tomorrow so Happy birthday Sister I loooovvveee youuuu! Also Happy birthday BIRTHDAY to my two little godbabies who were born on Dec. 17. I am in love!

My favorite Songs right now are Celine Dion-Oh Holy Night, Grenade-Bruno Mars, and Rolling in the deep by Adele.
Perfume is Viktor and Rolf's Flowerbomb
Nails are Opi-Got a Date To-Knight.

120910:: OBSESSION Alert!

What can I say? I am OBSESSED with Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics 'Lip Tars.'
This is a MIRACULOUS creation by OCC. These lip tars are amazing to to wear on their own, if you are brave enough, or what's so great about them is you can mix them together. So far I've had a lot of fun seeing what colors I could create and almost Duplicate. Also, you ONLY need a pintip size amount. They are so pigmented that it is almost ridiculous! They will last forever and I will gladly pass them on my kids, that's how long these will last you! They have a great pepperminty cooling flavor that is a universal love in my opinion. Don't nobody wanna be around you with STANK breaf (breath).

The colors I've purchased are: from top to bottom
- Anime - a HOT fuscia pink (blue undertoned)
- Vapid - a Soft lilac
- Momento - a light beigy pink
- Feathered - stark WHITE... obviously

The color I used below was Momento with a dot of Anime mixed well with Feathered. It gave me a nice Coral pink color.
Couldn't resist myself to try another. In this picture i used Feathered and mixed about 2 small drops of Momento into it. It gave a beautiful light pink look slightly lighter if you would mix them the opposite way. BY FAR my favorite color.
Here I put momento on my lips straight with no mix and then dabbed Vapid over it.

I mixed Anime in with a little white and this is the color I got. A nice natural flush to the lips. LOVE.

Now this one... I was trying to get a MAC's St. Germain look going on. St. Germain is a beautiful blue toned pink that is incredibly hard to pull off. I usually wear it on days where I feel like i'm a Bitch. People don't mess with someone who wears almost purple lipstick, Right? Oh and LOOK at my blush child it's POPPIN!!!!!!

For this I used Anime with some Vapid and mixed a little Momento and feathered in. I liked this color. It was very pretty!
Now... I think everyone should go to OCC and look at their lip tars. Their color range is amazing and the possibilities are endless.

The Lip tars are $12.50 the staying power of them is pretty much like a regular lipstick. They will not stay on for 8 hours if that's what you want you got the wrong ho... I mean Lipstick. I do think it's worth it and the price is awesome with all the ways you could wear it. And hey! If you wanna try mine I'll let you! I promise you won't be disappointed and if you are... meh:(
Til next time yall! Stay PERTY!

FOTD 113010!

Jaws music... dun nuh...

dun nuh

DUN NUH

dun nuh dun nuh dun nuh dun nuh

DORI WITH NO MAKE UP AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I couldn't scare everybody with that so I added it underneath the pretty look of the day.

I wanted to go with a Fresh Dewy look today. It's cold out here and I love the winter so here we go.

My fragrance of the Day is this sample of Miss Dior Cherie that I got from Sephora a while back. Yes the little thing is a hassle, but I think this is a great smell for the winter. I like it, but I don't think I will be purchasing a whole bottle anytime soon. Hence the fact that I've probably had the sample for about a year. Here's a tip. Go to Sephora and ask them for a sample of anything you want to try. It's free, and you can see if you will wear it often enough to purchase a full size. I will just stick with my Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb as my go to fragrance for the winter. If you havent had a chance to smell it, go right now! It's not in any Ulta stores though so be aware. I believe you can buy it at Dillards or Macy's.

Gotta pose with the cute little bottle! Duh~!

Here's the look for the day. It's simple and quite frankly the only time you will ever see me without a loud color.

I simply swiped Mac's Wedge into my crease in a rainbow like motion with a Mac 224. and it created a nice and natural crease for me.
I took Nyx's Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in Milk (which is a staple) and blended it out over my lid to create a sticky and long lasting surface for Mac's Crystal Avalanche, which I just patted onto my lid. If you pat the colors on the lid instead of swiping it, it will give you a lasting color and the shine will stay. Plus it makes the color stay true to it's color in the pan.
Now for my favorite trick! If you've stayed up all night, or are sick, or just look like shit, pop some flesh colored liner onto your water line. It instantly brightens your eyes and makes you look as if you had 9 hours of sleep instead of 6 hehe:) The best liner that I've found is called Topaz by Stila. It has a nice lasting effect and I tend to just reapply when I feel as though the color has faded. Let's face it, I love my black liner and will stay true. I hardly ever wear my Topaz unless I feel like I'm Dying. So I have no problem if I use too much of this product.

Here's my full face, I used my usual foundations. Used Mac's Shimmertime Pigment as a highlight, and mixed Illamasqua's Katie with Mac's Her Blooming cheek for the perfect overly flushed cheek that I ADORE! I used KatVonD eyeliner in Trooper. No wing, just a thin line, and Buxom Mascara. On my lips, I wore Rimmel's pink blush and no gloss today! GASP! I know!

Ok I snuck a little of Buxom's Samantha on BUT not enough for you to even know;)

On my nails today I wore China Glaze's Something Sweet from their summer Up Up and Away collection. This was my second bottle because it EXPLODED all over my car... thought you'd enjoy that side note. :)

Here's me, being a model. Soooo pretty! lolol

Model, again. Oh btw! The hat has sequins on it so it's SPARKLY~! YAY! I bought it from Old Navy along with a few others. The shirt also came from Old Navy in the Plus size section OF COURSE. I liked the shirt so much I bought it in every color.

Hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving! I know I did! I miss you sister! Can't wait for you to come back!

FOTD Tutorial::112410

Hey Everybody (aka my 3 friends)!!!!!!! I know it's been a week or 2 since i last posted. Today i decided to do something a little different. I'm posting my FOTD and will also be doing sort of a tutorial to show you the steps i take to achieve my look.

Every year MAC has a christmas collection with special edition sizes of different things. The collection this year is themed as "A Tartan Tale" which mimics an irish feel with plaid items. It's very cute and somewhat affordable. This year i took advantage of it and purchased 2 of the Pigment Sets and Her Blooming Lovely blush which is a BEAUTIFUL vibrant bright fuscia Pink!!!! AKA Made for Dori Christian. You can see that i am wearing the blush in the pictures above;)
ANYWAYS... I used a few of the pigments from the christmas collection as seen below.
First i primed my lid with Urban Decay Primer Potion which i depotted. It's in the smaller container below. Then i lightly primed my lid with Painterly Paintpot for a clean and smooth canvas.

Then i patted gently the Silver Fog pigment on to the inner third of my eyelid. It's very sheer and adds a pop of shine. If anyone knows me they know i love the shine and spotlight.

Then because i don't really have a well defined crease i like to sort of create a crease for myself with Wedge eyeshadow from MAC
After that i put Softwash Grey on the Outer third of my lid and slightly blended it with Silver Fog. Then i kind of brought a little up to blend in with the wedge on my "selfmade" crease. Again this is a sheertone.
Then i took Mauvement and swept it into the crease and slightly above so that the light color will shine through the top.
Now comes the fun part. It's my favorite color Sketch which i use practically every day. If i would recommend one color to someone from MAC it would definatly be this color! It's just gorgeous and blends with almost every color! LOVE LOVE LOVE. So i swirl my 224 brush into the sketch, then i kind of tap it onto a paper towel because it is so pigmented it will smush the color into the brush which helps to blend the color evenly. I sweep it into the crease. if you cant find the crease of your eye, place your brush between where your eyeball is and your bone that is right above the lid. open your eye and sweep your brush back and forth. The picture below kind of shows what i mean;)
Then, because i can't be neutral... ever, i added a POP of color. I used Free to be from MAC which is a corally pinky orangy beautiful whatever. I plopped it on the outside of sketch and blended the heck out of the two so that i could create a gradual fade effect to the highlight.
Next of course was the highlight which because i'm as white as a ghost i mix Vanilla and Gesso and it's the perfect highlight color for me... Casper.
Everyone's favorite part, well at least mine is, is the inner color highlight. I took Crystal Avalanch and popped it on the inside and blended it over into Silver Fog and up into Sketch. It makes the eyes appear larger and more awake!! So even if you go out all night and have work in the morning you can add this little pop of color to your inner corner and you look like you went to sleep at 6:00 pm like i did.
A lot of people don't think to use eyeshadow on the bottom lid but i say why not?!?!?! i took the golden color of my nars Cheyenne duo and swiped it on the inner lower lid and put the darker on the outside. This is my favorite trick to sweep the darker color from the lower lid and make a c shape straight up to your upper lid. it instantly creates a beautiful smokey effect. all you have to do is blend it out and you can be as pretty as me! JK... but really.
Then i do the normal, eyeliner and mascara. Then i put my Urban Decay eyeliner in 24/7 on my upper and lower waterline. If you want your waterline to stay all day a good trick is to set it with a matte black shadow. Anything WITHOUT shimmer will do. NYX has a great drugstore matte black but i used my MUFE.
I used my new favorite lipstick which is Rimmel Pink Blush which my mama bought me!! :) ty mama! To add a pop i took Reflects Pearl Pigment and dabbed it on the top and bottom of my lips only in the middle. it gives the effect of gloss without wearing any and brings the attention to your lips. It's subtle, yet beautiful!
I hope someone tries this look! Have a Happy Thanksgiving! and Eat a bunch! I know i will!
